It’s so easy to focus on the problems you are having. You always hear people complaining all the time about what’s wrong in their lives. Your family and friends telling you all about their troubles. How Can You Find Happiness?
There is an old saying that true happiness is not getting what you want, but wanting what you’ve got. I believe there is a lot of truth in that message. Focus your energy and attention on all the blessings in your life, rather than obsessing over all your problems.
An analogy you can think of is your mind is like a radio receiver. You can tune in to any frequency you want. What frequencies do you want to receive? When you’re thinking about pain and lack and misery and frustrations, you are tuning your mind to that frequency. And you will tend to attract more of those negative and painful energies back into your life. But the opposite is also true. When you focus your attention on love, beauty, peace, and happiness, you will draw those wonderful energies and emotions into your life.
Centuries ago, before the term ‘hypnosis’ was coined, Franz Mesmer referred to the phenomenon of hypnosis as ‘animal magnetism’. There are many ways to interpret the words he used, but one way to look at it is that you can become a magnet. By using the law of attraction, you can attract the beautiful and positive emotions and feelings into your life.
